Does it not crash for you still after a few bits of dialogue during the white
screen?

Also, I did "some" build testing, looking at what 'znver1' brings in, and it
looks like it's the 'bmi2' option that makes it very unhappy.

That is, something like '-march=znver1 -mno-bmi2' will work as well.
