This forms the basis of my question. Forget the quick launcher, lets just about
the terminal command. My understanding is the same as you have written and DTS
and java are installed in .winedts.

Perhaps the easiest thing to do is to remove java from your .wine prefix and
then install DTS and java in another prefix. You will find DTS won't work.
