IE 5.01 setup cant download? [ie5setup.exe]

Has anyone actually gotten IE 5 or even IE6 working natively under WINE yet? [even under the latest CVS?] For the last few months, I tried running a clean wine installation [without windows] and run ie5seup.exe or even ie6setup.exe and each time it trys to download information, It *always* complains that "Setup was unable to download information about available installation sites" and if I ever go to advanced and add a proxy, wine CRASHES with 
["Unhandled exception: page fault on write access to 0x00000000 in 32-Bit mode."]
["Symbol h_errno is invalid"]
["Symbol __strtol_internal is invalid"]
["Symbol hack_digit is invalid"]
["0x4174ad58 (RICHED32.DLL.DllGetVersion+0x32e7f4 in wininet.dll.so:"]

The question is has anyone gotten internet explorer installed just from using ie5setup.exe or ie6setup.exe ??
