I usually recommend downloading the latest monthly snapshot
sources.  Compiling only takes 20 minutes to an hour, depending
on your CPU.

However, the last time I did that, I ended up with a Wine that
defaults to Thai user interface.  So perhaps you should use
the October or November snapshot... I know October worked.
