Thomas Brothers Digital Edition?

Has anyone tried to run the "Thomas Brothers Digital Edition"
aka "Thomas Brothers DE 4.0" mapping software under Wine?

(Anyone who lives in Los Angeles and has a car
has a copy of the printed Thomas Brothers map;
this is their digital equivalent.)
A local businessman I know wants to switch
his PCs to Linux, and this is one of the apps he requires.

It's only $30, so I'll probably get a copy just to see,
but I thought I'd ask here first.
