You could try with the auto-built versions here:
  http://www.astro.gla.ac.uk/users/paulm/WRT/CrossBuilt/winetest-latest.exe

It was cross-built with pretty recent versions of everything:
  binutils-2.15.90-20040222
  gcc-core-3.3.3-200402017
  mingw-runtime-3.2
  w32api-2.5
+ lots of patches from Hans.

.. then UPX compressed.

If you have problems running the test (you shouldn't), try the binary
inside winetest-latest.zip as it won't have been UPX compressed.
