Use Interlocked* functions

To see how far we are, I tried grepping to get This->refs stuff
  grep -r -n -e 'TRACE(.*This->ref)' *
  grep -r -n "++(This->ref)" *
  grep -r -n -- "--(This->ref)" *

I hope there are a lot of false positives there :-/
