IANAL but curcumventing for personal use using generic tools (wich wine is) 
and with no bad intentions can't be treated on the same level as using 
specific tools to break such protection. Do remember that most EULA's (for 
games and commercial programs) do not allow decompiling/recompiling the code, 
not using the program under a different operating system.

IMHO the best possible thing to do is to ask an lawyer for an interpretation.
