Doesn't work for me:

$ cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous at wine.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/wine co -P docs
cvs [checkout aborted]: connect to [wine.cvs.sourceforge.net]:2401 failed: Connection timed out

$ git cvsimport -C wine-doc -v -k -d :pserver:anonymous at wine.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/wine docs 
Socket to wine.cvs.sourceforge.net: Connection timed out

I'll need to try stunnel and see if it improves things. (but I can still check out stuff from other sourceforge projects...)
