Regression tests - recent regressions

In today's git, I've had a few regressions in make -k test:

I don't have time to pin these down any further, as I've got a midterm
tomorrow then spring break after that. But thought those of you who
made recent commits in this area should take a look. If you need a
specific test run or log, then please e-mail me.
