The VK_EXT_acquire_xlib_display extension provides a function 
vkGetRandROutputDisplayEXT [1] which allows you to query a X11 RandR 
output ID and map it back to a VkDisplayKHR handle. It looks like it's 
implemented across the Mesa and NVIDIA drivers, and either AMDVLK or AMD 
GPUPro, although I'm not familiar enough with gpuinfo.org to know which 
of those two [2].
