Is it a 64-bit version of MS Office?
If not I suspect it's not using winegstreamer. Does the video still play
if you rename winegstreamer.dll to winegstreamer.dll.ignore?

I did that test with an mpeg 1 video embedded in a PowerPoint 2000
presentation and the video stopped playing when I removed
winegstreamer.dll.

If it stinks, it's chemistry. If it moves, it's biology.
If it does not work, it's computer science.
