MSI: skip the first character of a font identifier if it's \ or &

I'm not sure what the significance of \ or & at the start of the font 
identifier string is, but sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not. 
This patch skips over those characters to the font identifier string, 
and fixes a few incorrect strings. eg. bug #3379
