PATCH: Resend: Fix configure.ac to properly recognize functions on Solaris

Resend again due to webmail client  munging the white space
in the patch.  

This patch fixes configure.ac to generate a configure script which properly
finds functions on Solaris which require -lsocket, but in a way that doesn't
add -lsocket to other systems which don't require it.
