there is absolutely no evidence to this behavior, I mean about the

files prior to 3.1 could also show browse buttons iff there is prev & 
next links in hlp file for the current page
this should be further tested

moreover, the macros (on a page) are freed upon page exit, so your patch 
is wrong by adding to the macro list a static buffer
