Hi,
I apologize for yesterdays test failure in mci.ok; somehow I
removed too much code from my tests. This patch merges a fix.
Now that we know that mciSendString() always returns a string,
I further removed most of the buf[0] preinitialisations.
BTW, MCI_WAVE_STATUS_LEVEL appears to report the recording
level. It varies from 0 to 7 (at line-in's highest level in the volume mixer
control GUI) on one machine but this certainly depends on the soundcard.
Obviously it's not a value linearised to 0..FFFF like waveOUTGetVolume would return.
