Someone else (Jukka Heinonen) did fix DXGrab, but *after* 20010731
(it was committed on Aug 06).

DXGrab has never applied to DGA though, as DGA uses a different kind of
mouse input that does not require explicit grabbing. As far as I know, DGA
input was never broken. (But perhaps you didn't use DGA, you must use
--debugmsg +x11drv to know whether DGA is enabled or not)
