  Thanks, I incorporated the patch to my wine sources. However, it still
didn't fix my comm problems (communication with a measuring instrument
over the modem). I'm afraid that overlapped communication is the key
problem here.
  AFAIK, in CVS terminology, HEAD means the result obtained by CVS up -A,
i.e. the latest, newest, obviously untagged state of the project.
