Cannot even compile Wine

Thanks for your help. I haven't tried it yet, but I will - and it's what
everyone else is suggesting too so it should work.

You're right, it was a mental typo. I was in fact compiling from the source.
Well, I wouldn't have gotten that far if it were the binaries. I did in fact
attempt to mess with the binaries though, but didn't like that very much
either.
