BTW: the original (SYSMETRICS_Init: Assertion hdc' failed) problem still
occurs with the new CVS wine. I noticed that the standard glut demo
"atlantis" shows this as well.

just in case you are interested to have a look. Atlantis is not the only
glut demo that shows it, but I think one is enough.
