XFree86-OS2 is very nice, but it has been a labor of love by one
developer (Holger Veit) and he has not been able to release a new
version since 3.3.6.

The EverBlue project has potential; if you can't wait, the German
company HobLink has a seamless X server that works well inside
Presentation Manager, at least for some video hardware. It
worked fine on my son's computer with a Matrox Millennium video
board, but the S3-968 board on my machine could never get the
colors right in the HobLink window.

In any case, having an X environment on top of OS/2 doesn't
appeal to me as much as having the OS/2 Workplace Shell running
on top of linux. THAT would be the best of both worlds, if it
could be made to happen!
