Basically the idea is that these directories have not changed, only
an  app has renamed them; so the trick is to rename them (this is from
the answers to quite a few similar posts, I have never seen the
problem myself). This problem has prompted the following part
of the README :

You should backup all your important files that you give Wine access
to, or use a special Wine copy of them, as there have been some cases
of users reporting file corruption. Do NOT run Explorer, for instance,
if you don't have a proper backup, as it renames/cripples several
directories sometimes.

So if you want to run Explorer or Internet explorer for example, mount
your fat partition read only.
