Mandrake 9.1 ppc and wine

Wine may replace the win32api, but it still needs the x86 hardware.

you can use winelib to recompile some apps on ppc(i think), but if already in 
binary form you will need x86 hardware.  you  might look at plex86 and see if 
that will help you.
