I think you misunderstand what he was doing. He was able to compile and
run Wine's version of mine, winemine. Winelib will theoretically allow
you to compile and then run applications written for Windows on another
OS, such as MacOS, as long as you are running an X server (which
apparently can be done with MacOS).
But that requires that you have the source code. Wine does not allow you
to run a binary that was compiled for X86/Windows on a none X86/Windows
computer. Again theoretically, it might be possible to run an X86
emulator under MacOS along with an X server, and then run Wine on top of
that. Probably a project that is not for the faint of heart ;)
