Redhat 9.0 and missing temp Directory

I do not know if this problem is solved or not, but on 2 different rh9.0 
installations, I receive an error that a temp directory cannot be found 
or it was not created. If anyone has seen this problem and/or solved it, 
please let me know.

P.S: This happens on at least the last 2 wine releases. I would create 
the directory myself but it is a real long and odd one.
