New to Wine

Hi I'm new to wine just installed it yesterday, and also pretty new to linux
as well.

Notepad runs fine, but when I try to install another program I always get this
error message:

"This product requires Microsoft Windows 98, Windows NT Version 4.0 with Service
pack 6a, or Windows 2000 or later"

Any help please? :(
