wine build that works

Is there goning to be a Wine rpm that works right.  I have the latest rpm from sourceforge for RH9.  I cannot install any programs as they all get stuck after the install shield goes to 100%.  I saw that there was a patch that needed to be removed from the source with I tried and then I used ./tools/wineinstall which also didn't work for me.  

What my question is, is there going to be a rpm for RH9 that work right?
