The problem is related to RedHat upgradeing to glibc 2.3

I have tried to the workarounds from sites I found on google, but none of them 
work.

I tried 
export LD_PRELOAD=~/bin/q.so
and 
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5   

Any ideas...
