comport use with one-wire network

Hi,

I'm a bit new to the wine project, at this moment i try to get a 
weather observation program to run under wine. 
(http://www.weather-display.com) This program makes nice graphics 
concerning the weather parameters.
The main software is working but the communication with the 
weatherstation via a comport is not working.
The comport is used for a one-wire network, this is where all the 
weather instruments are connected on.
The network is made of a http://ibutton.com devices.
Are there any restricktions of use of the comport?
Anybody any expirions with things like this?
