printers

I personally haven't had much of an issue with printers in Wine for the
past year or so.  

IMHO, the trick is:
1. setup your printers in CUPS
2. Make sure you have the cups-devel package installed
3  Build from source.

If wine isn't compiled with CUPS, you won't automatically see printers. 
If you're using a binary package, it could be that CUPS wasn't compiled
in, or maybe some version incompatibility or something.

Try that.
