Oracle installer refuses to start correctly in Wine

I was able to get Oracle 817 client 'copied' over and working without the OO4O Ole Objects for Oracle working (sqlplus did work). So to try and make OO4O work I'm trying to get the Oracle Client Installer to work correctly. Currently, when I try to run the setup, it shows a dialog saying 'Loading...', but then freezes... In the console window, I can see it saying the following message every minute or so:

Err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x40a03824 "?" wait timed out in the read 000e, blocked by 000d, retrying (60 sec)
Err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x6fe31d1c "?" wait timed out in the read 000d, blocked by 000e, retrying (60 sec)

Any ideas on how to get past this?
