network adapter

hi all,

i have an application here which has several communication options
available to connect to a remote machine. for example, i can choose
serial port connection, or ethernet adapter, or others.

my problem is that the ethernet adapter doesn't get listed when i run my
app in wine- it shows up in windows though. this seems logical, because
i don't have a driver for any ethernet adapter installed under wine.

so the question is: can i set up some ethernet device driver for wine so
that windows apps will think there is one present, i.e. find it?
