Anyone had the experienc of this before?

Using 'df' I clocked my disk usage before trying to install ie6

2.3 gig on My main / partition and
2.7 gig on my /home partition.

By the time the installation was 70% the both had increased to over 7
gigs each.

I had previously used Frank's wine-tools which produced a similar result
(hence I took note of the disk usage)

The root partition was now 100%, which means I am going to have to
reinstall linux.

Seems really strange to me, not least because the fake_windows is on the
/home partition. Is this some kind of Bill Gates trick? ;/
