Subject: Can't install Dreamweaver MX

Hello list,

I have been working on this for weeks and can't seem to get it to work.
I first installed Wine 20040505 from a Mandrake RPM but that gave me many
problems. (I had to manually copy registry files and DLLs from a Windows 98
PC.)

I uninstalled that RPM and reinstalled from source (tar.gz) hoping it would
solve this particular problem, but it hasnt. I will show in detail what is
happening.

I have Mandrake 9.2 (2.4.22 kernel) and Wine 20040408.

So I try to install Dreamweaver, I put in my Macromedia CD. I start shell
(konsole) as user. cd to the directory '/mnt/cdrom/Dreamweaver MX' and type
"wine Dreamweaver\ MX\ Installer.exe"

The install dies shortly after starting. The graphical installer does:

"Please wait while the InstallShield wizard extracts the files needed to
install Dreamweaver on your computer. This may take a few moments."
(progress bar goes to 100%).
(new wine window pops up)

"Dreamweaver Setup is preparing the InstallShield wizard, which will guide
you through the rest of the setup process. Please wait."
(immediately:)

"An installation support file 'C:\Program Files\Common
Files\InstallShield\engine\6\intel32\corecomp.ini' could not be installed.
(0x80070002)" [OK]

When you click OK, wine quits. I checked, and the file exists.

And my konsole output is:
fixme:seh:check_resource_write Broken app is writing to the resource data,
enabling work-around
fixme:ntdll:FILE_GetNtStatus Converting errno 116 to STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL
fixme:file:SetFileAttributesW Couldn't set file attributes for existing file
"/home/angela/.wine/dosdevices/c:/Program Files/Common
Files/InstallShield/Engine/6/Intel 32/corecomp.ini".
Check permissions or set VFAT "quiet" mount flag
wine: Unhandled exception (thread 000f), starting debugger...

(The "Couldn't set file attributes" error happened on the DCOM install too,
it just seems to be a warning message.)
How to fix this?

Thanks.
