I think you can be quite sure that the top Wine developers are working 
on this. They complain repeatedly about the constant attempts by the 
Linux developers to break Wine :( But they will get it fixed. The best 
thing to do is probably to stick with a version of Wine that works, 
until the problems are sorted out.
