CXO installer and then point to the wine version I want to run. I worry 
that I will (or have) messed things up and that I'll be using a new Wine 
with an old registery, etc., and not know I'm doing it. I'd like to just 
install Quicken myself using straight Wine.

Why is it that Codeweavers can install Quicken but Wine cannot?

I have not even tried to install Quicken from any version newer than 20003.
