[Wine](Newbie query) - Directing error messages to a text file

Try 'script'.

script file_name

do a bunch of stuff. When you're done, at the command line type exit.
Then vi the file_name and see if you caught what you wanted.

See man script for more ways to run it

script -c program file_name
