[Wine] GL error crashes wine

Hello wine-users.  I've got a problem.  Whenever I run wine with a
Windows program that uses OpenGL, it gives me this message:

err:opengl:X11DRV_ChoosePixelFormat glXChooseFBConfig returns NULL (glError: 0)

and quits.  I have no idea what this means or how to fix it. 
Furthurmore, it is very annoying.  I've tried the official release as
well as the CVS version, neither works.  What can I do about this?
