[Wine]How to run just a dll

Also, do you know what language the dll was written? I once tried to
call a function written in a Visual Basic DLL with rundll32.exe and
couldn't get it to work no matter how I tried.

You could have a look at the M$DN documentation for rundll32 (I presume
that it is there!)
