[Wine]New problems with mIRC and CVS Sat MAR 12

Build from cvs on Saturday Mar 12. Wine starts up fine as does mIRC. 
However, once connected to a server, the status/chat line displays a 
paragraph mark (the typographic character resembling a "P" with double 
lines) and any text that is entered (e.g. /join #channel) get truncated 
(such that one joins a blank channel). Attempts to /part or /quit end up 
with the errors "no such command par" or "no such command qui". Somehow 
the typography has been affected (is this due to the "richedit" new 
features?)
