A genuine windows 64 bit application can't load 32 bit dlls. All the dlls
have to be recompiled to 64 bit. Also a genuine XP64 can't run 16 bit
applications. This doesn't really cause problems for the applications
themselves - most are now 32 bit. However, a lot of installers are still
built as 16 bit applications.
What are the prospects for 64 bit wine? Alternatively, what are the
prospects for 64 bit winelib? I have a 64 bit application that I would
dearly like to port to AIX/Solaris/Linux. Currently, I can't port the GUI.
