[Wine] running linux applications on wine?

Hi,
does anyone of you know, how to start native linux applications or  
sh-scripts from inside wine?
For a better integration it would be nice that windows applications can  
for example call emacs to edit a specific file without installing emacs  
under wine. I hate that overhead.
does anyone know anything about this?
