No. 
wine 0.9.12 is the newest released Snapshot (from April 2006).

Yes: "which wine" print the location of the used wine-version

"make uninstall" (in the dir, where you build wine-20050830)
will uninstall that version.


It might be possible, that you need to reinstall wine-0.9.12 again.
