j2re runs ok for me, except for the javaws.exe file, which bombs out
wine ./java.exe -version behaves
wine ./javaw.exe (Used by ROS) behaves, and installed, where java-1.4.2
failed to.
BTW, the whole package runs well as well - just logging onto the website
is an issue.

I will try (spit) IE6. If I get logging on to the web site, I'll have
the whole thing operational. The online is quite separate from the
(working) offline stuff. You get an oiption somewhere to go online, but
that's it.
