[Wine] compiling wine from cvs

Hi

I downloaded the CVS vewrsion from wine and now I want to compile it. I
understand the basic procedure (

$> ./configure
$> make depend && make
$> checkinstall

As I want to install the cvs version of WINE and keep 0.9.12, I used

$> ./configure --prefix=$home

but when I tried to install the rpm, it reported conflicts with
desktop-file-utils.

Therefore my question: is it possible to install two different wine
versions parallell, and if yes, what are the options I have to use for
configure?
