did you try to use msvcrt.dll native (WINEDLLOVERRIDES=msvcrt=n) ? you can
verify this when by setting WINEDEBUG=+loaddll and grep for msvcrt.dll.
another option is to file a bug report or debug Wine yourself. maybe you find
