hi I had the same problem. checking the configure.log, at the point where configure tries to find out how to use the -R option with GCC and gcc complains about an unknown option twice ( with or without space after "-R" does not work ) I suppose that will lead to non-defined variables, after which .... etc , etc. regards, rens
