[Wine] running from xterm

Greetings,

i managed to install Wizardry 8 and can run it from within winefile, but
not from an xterm. Running programs from an xterm is basically possible:

     $ wine "c:\windows\notepad.exe"

works as expected, but

     $ wine "c:\Program Files\Sirtech\Wizardry 8\Wiz8.EXE"
shows no reaction except the message
Wine exited with a successful status

     $ wine "c:\Program Files\Sirtech\Wizardry 8\3DSetup.exe"
calling the configuration program of Wizardry 8 gives
http://www.triffids.de/pub/wine/wiz8/3dsetup.jpg (30 KB)

May be a problem with a path or with the spaces in the names of the
directory. Probably there exists a simple solution *g*, but which one?
