You probably want to use VMWare to run SQL server if
at all possible.  Wine probably isn't ready to run SQL server.

That said, it's something we'd like to run, and I'll see if
I can dig up a copy of SQL Server 2000 to try.

Say, how many servers/workstations are you trying to migrate to Linux,
and what apps are you going to want to run besides SQL server?
