[Wine] Rosetta Stone crashing

Hi all,

Just trying to get Rosetta Stone V.3 working in Ubuntu Feisty; it
installs fine, recognizes my language cdś and the lessons start.
There are two problems, however.

1) The augio hiccups at the beggining every time.
2) this is the big one; occasionally (and seems to be randomly)
everything freezes when audio is about to be played.  wine gives this
in the terminal:
